We meet at Maidstone Leisure Centre from 11.45 am until 1.30 pm every Tuesday.

We have use of half the Fitness pool, the Boom pool and the large Teaching pool between 12.00 and 1.00pm.

There are no formal lessons. Members are given assistance based on your individual needs.

For those who can swim unaided, the Fitness Pool is available to you to swim at your own leisure in an uncrowded environment. However, we have qualified volunteers for those who wish to develop water skills or simply benefit from the freedom of moving in water.

For those in need of a confidence boost try our Boom pool under the watchful eye of our qualified volunteers. For those needing a little extra support, you must be accompanied in the pool with your carer.

An Aqua Aerobics session is held in the Teaching Pool for those with slow or limited mobility, but you must be able to stand unaided, otherwise you must be accompanied by your carer.

All of the pools will encourage our members to enjoy the many benefits and improve your Health, Well Being and Social Skills in and out of the water.

There is a hoist in all pool areas to assist those with physical disabilities to get in and out of the pools.

We also have a Dipper Pool Hoist Spreader Bar, which can assist members who bring in a sling.

We have two brand new disabled rooms which were opened by The Mayor of Maidstone in April 2019

One large Wet Room complete with a shower and multi functional bed with operational handset and One smaller Shower Room both with Radar Locks.

We now have a Poolside Dipper Pool Hoist – Spreader Bar for easier access in and out of the pools, members to supply their own slings.

Rubberised slanting steps were purchased in August 2023, thanks to the generous donations we received, making access to the pool easier.

“This club brings me so much happiness and joy, I look forward to it every week!”
